FYC 2025-2026 WINTER RECREATION PROGRAM

Our 75th Winter Recreation Program of supervised recreational and instructional programs is for children enrolled in the Farmingdale School District. Registration will be online and open one month prior to the program start date. Instructional programs in Swimming, Gymnastics and Cultural Arts are self-sustaining. The registration fee for the programs are as indicated below. No refunds will be issued once the program begins. ALL WINTER PROGRAMS ARE OPEN TO CHILDREN ENROLLED IN THE FARMINGDALE SCHOOL DISTRICT #22.

All registrations for Winter programs will be ONLINE. Registration begins approximately one month before the program start date. If you have not previously registered or do not have an account, you will need to create an account in order to register. Click on the “HOW TO REGISTER" button below for instructions on how to create an account or the “Help" link from the Rec Desk portal via the “REGISTER HERE" button also located Below.

Any bad behavior or bullying can result in dismissal from the program.

Photography or videos are not permitted at any FYC programs.

SWIMMING / GRADES 2 – 8:

Child must be 48 inches in height in order to register for this program

Swimming instruction is for children enrolled in the Farmingdale School District entering grades 2-8 as of September 2025, and meet Saturdays at the Aquatics Center at Howitt Middle School.

There are a total of eight (8) classes per session. The program fee is $70.00 per child. Session times are 10AM, 11AM, or 12PM each lasting one hour.

S.N.A.P. (SPECIAL NEEDS AQUATICS PROGRAM)

An adult over the age of 21 must go in the pool with the child in order to register for this program

SNAP is designed for students with special needs ages 6-16 as of September 2025, and meet Saturdays from 2-3PM at the Aquatics center at Howitt Middle School.

SNAP is for special needs students who DO NOT know how to swim and are enrolled in the Farmingdale school district. The program will introduce non-swimmers to basic safety swimming skills. An adult over the age of 21 is required to accompany the student swimmer in the pool at all times. There are a total of eight (8) classes per session. The program fee is $70.00 per child.

TINY TOT SWIM

In order to register and participate in this program your child must be registered with the school census prior to the program start date.

“Tiny Tots" swim is for children enrolled in the Farmingdale School District ages 1 to 6, and meet Saturdays at the Aquatics Center at Howitt Middle School.

Tiny Tots session is from 9-10AM or 1-2 PM. Tiny Tots MUST be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian in the pool at all times. (1 adult per child). Tiny Tots swim is a fun water orientation program designed to acquaint children with water. Skills introduced will include: blowing bubbles, floating, kicking, and safety skills and optional underwater swim.

FOR GRADES 2-3 / 10:00AM- 11:30PM at FHS tennis courts

FOR GRADES 4-8 / 11:30PM- 1:00PM at FHS tennis courts

Tennis dates: March 14, 28, Apr 18, May 2, 9, 16, 30 Jun 6

**Schedules/Dates are subject to change due to weather or school events.**

Sneakers and a tennis racket are required for this class.

The program fee is $65.00 per child.
